Most of us begin our journey into fine jewellery in the same way. We walk into the great jewellery houses, admire the craftsmanship, and fall in love with the idea of owning something beautiful. I certainly did.

For years I believed that choosing the right jeweller meant choosing the right brand. Then something changed. I realised I wasn't looking for a famous name, I was looking for a feeling.

I wanted to know that someone understood me before they showed me a single gemstone. Someone who would quietly search until they found the stone or the piece that felt as though it had been waiting just for me.

That experience proved surprisingly difficult to find and I soon realised that true luxury wasn't simply owning an extraordinary piece; it was knowing someone had gone to extraordinary lengths to find it.

The realisation became the foundation of The Secret Jeweller. Today, I work as a private jewellery curator for a small number of clients each year. The relationships are enduring and, over time, I become the person the family turns to whenever jewellery becomes part of life's story.
